Holiday Airways is the fixed-base operator (FBO) at Schaumburg Regional Airport, which means it is the first stop for pilots flying in. Its office is on the lower level of the main terminal, by the passenger waiting area. It sells 100LL and Jet A fuel with full-service fueling, arranges transient parking and hangar space, and can set up a rental car. There is also a crew car for short trips.
Holiday Airways is also a flight school with a specialty side. Besides sport pilot training, it teaches tailwheel flying, aerobatics and spin and upset recovery, offers multi-engine training, and will train you in your own airplane. It also maintains aircraft.
Good to know: winter hours (November through March) are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends; in summer it stays open until 8 p.m. Call ahead if you are flying in and need fuel or parking. Holiday Airways also hosts community events at the airport, such as the Father's Day pancake breakfast.
