About this place

Tim Flores and Genie Kwon run Kasama as two restaurants in one. By day it is a Filipino bakery and counter, with pastries and breakfast that draw a line. At night it becomes a Filipino tasting menu, and it is the first Filipino restaurant to earn two Michelin stars.

Good to know: bakery counter by day, tasting menu at dinner, dinner $325 a person. Open bakery Wednesday to Sunday, dinner Thursday to Sunday. Book through OpenTable, usually weeks ahead. From Schaumburg it is about 27 miles, or 42 minutes by car with light traffic via I-90.
