7. SMS Terms & Conditions

●  By opting into SMS communications from Schaumburg Marketplace, you agree to receive conversational and transactional text messages related to appointments, scheduling updates, confirmations, customer support, and service notifications.

●  Message frequency is up to 4 messages per month.

●  Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

●  You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us directly through our website.

●  Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase or service.

●  SMS consent and phone numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

8. Free Community Membership

Free membership is for residents and gives them the ability to post events, classifieds, coupons and articles at no cost. Business memberships, including Business Directory listings, are available on paid plans. It is genuinely free and does not convert to a paid plan without your agreement.

You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and for everything posted from your account.

Free membership may be suspended or removed if these terms are broken.

9. Community Submissions: Events, Articles, Classifieds, Listings and Shop Items

●  You may only submit content you own or are authorised to publish, and by submitting you confirm you are an authorised person to do so.

●  Details must be accurate and complete. You are responsible for keeping your submission up to date and for withdrawing it once the item is sold or the event is cancelled.

●  Every submission is reviewed by our team before publication, normally within 2 business days. We may edit for length, clarity, formatting or spelling, may approve, decline or remove any submission at our discretion, and may contact you if anything needs to be clarified.

●  By submitting, you grant Schaumburg Marketplace a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reformat and promote your submission on this site and in our newsletter and social channels. You keep ownership of your content.

●  Publication is not an endorsement, and approval does not mean we have verified your claims.

10. Content Standards

Content submitted to this community portal must not:

To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, Schaumburg Marketplace and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or from any third-party listing, event, sponsor or transaction. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

You agree to indemnify Schaumburg Marketplace against claims arising from content you submit or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
